How to force shut down your Mac?
Force can never be good. Forcibly shutting down your Mac can cause various damages to your device. But then again it is sometimes necessary as well. But before you shut down make sure you have saved all files, close the apps that were open and eject any hardware that was connected. After doing so you can follow any one of the options to force shut down your Mac.
1.You can press and hold onto the power button on your Mac. It is usually present on the backside of the screen, on the bottom left corner. This may take a while, around 10 seconds or so.
2.The second option is to use a keyboard shortcut. This is a much safer option as it will first close all the apps that you were working on and then go on to shut down the device. The keyboard combination that you may use is Control + Option + Cmd + Power.
3.The last option is to be opted for only as a last resort. You can drain the battery of the device or remove the power source of it.
If you just want to restart your Mac you can just click on the Apple menu and then click on the restart option. You can also press and hold on the power button unless you find other options and then click on restart.
