It happens a lot that we open an app one day and find it corrupted somehow – the app keeps crashing, you’re unable to start it, or the app becomes unresponsive for no apparent reason. Other issues you may face with an app are problems trying to connect or sync content with a particular cloud service. In fact, it is not tough to take care of in Windows 10, provided that proper solutions are adopted. Let’s see what you can do to get rid of the trouble.
When an app is now working as expected, you may firstly check updates in the Microsoft Store:
1. Click the Search button beside the Start button.
2. Search for “Microsoft Store”, and click the top result to open the experience.
3. click the three-dotted menu button in the top-right corner, and select Downloads and updates.
4. Click the Get updates button.
If an update is available, the Microsoft Store should be downloading for you. After automatic installation, the issue may be fixed.
If you’re still having the same issue after the update, try to use the reset feature to delete and restore the default settings:
1. Open Start.
2. Search for Settings, and then click the top result to open the experience.
3. Click on Apps, and click on Apps & features.
4. Under Apps & features, select the broken application.
5. Click the Advanced option link.
6. Click the Reset button. (If you see a repair button instead, using this option first without effecting the app’s data), and click the Reset button again to confirm.
By going through this you may solve all the existing issues with the app:
1. Right-click the Start button, and select Programs and Features.
2. Find the app in the list, and double-click it to activate the uninstall.
3. Reboot if necessary.
4. Open Start, search for Microsoft Store, and then click the top result to open the experience.
5. Use the search box in the top right-corner to find the app again, and select it.
6. Click the Install button.
